A great place to kickstart your career
Pros
* Strong culture, great and talented people, great opportunities and interesting work (if you can find it and know the right people) * Strong performance is recognised and rewarded - opportunities for promotion come twice a year, and if you can prove yourself, you will be promoted. * Brand is strong with clients in some areas like capital markets, technology and reg. * Really good compensation - above industry average (like your Big 4 and Accentures). * Always room to make a name for yourself and grow. * Capco really look after their employees. * Great work/life balance (although there are dependencies - see cons)
Cons
* Enagements tend to be longer than you would expect for a consultancy - not much variety - but it is also what you make of it. * Brand is not as recognised as much as it should be in fields like digital, where we are indeed strong with our capability and people (a lot of positive client feedback when we do get the work). Our brand recognition has thus, at times, hindered us in winning some interesting work and hiring and retaining some of the right talent. * Work/Life balance varies wildly from project to project, and is also dependent on the senior management you sit under. * A lot of boring and cheap work gets sold as it brings in revenue - which few people want to do. * (also a pro) - a lot depends on who you know internally to get good roles and further your career; but if youre a strong performer, this shouldnt concern you.
