Pros

- The firm has very decent people in the AO-SC classes. A disproportionate number of mid and upper-level management are snaky and very fake. - The office looks very cool. - Very fun holiday parties.

Cons

- Finding work and getting placed on a decent project is more political than working on Capitol Hill. Getting onto a decent project is purely dependent on who you know and how much they were willing to help you. - Few exit ops and transferable skills - The company should pay the marketing/HR team more than the CEO because they do an amazing job at deceiving graduates from tier-1 universities to join a “consulting firm” where 95% of projects aren’t even legitimate consulting projects. They are mindless staff aug and data governance projects. - Most of the reviews on Glassdoor are written by employees who were told to write positive reviews by partners at the firm.

We were disappointed to read your feedback, as it does not reflect the vast majority of feedback we receive, not only on this forum, but across all forums. Capco has had tremendous success hiring and retaining top talent, and providing outstanding opportunities for growth and development. While consulting is not for everyone, and not every assignment will be your dream project, the learning, growth and advancement that takes place at Capco is significant. Like any management consultancy, Capco has a mix of clients and projects at any time. Sometimes the balance will be towards leading edge and innovative solutions that shape the market and sometimes projects will be more routine. Most people will be expected to work on a range of projects during their career at Capco. Employees are allocated to projects by professional Resourcing Specialists deployed in the business and, if an employee is unhappy with the nature of their project, they can discuss this with their manager and/or HR. As a firm, we want to ensure that our people are working in areas that motivate and develop them so that they want to continue their career with Capco. If any employee has a concern to raise, we would encourage them to reach out to their local HR contact or the US HR Director, Mary Keller.

Pros

There are very little pros to working at Capco. Little to no exit opportunities. Little to no tangible skills learned early on in your career. Poor Management. Only Pro is competitive salary, and a strong work life balance.

Cons

Capco is running a scheme to bring in smart college students and convincing them that working at this firm can advance your career and knowledge. Go to other boutique consulting firms if you genuinely wish to pursue a fulfilling career. The projects that Capco brings in are revenue grabs to put more money in senior management's pockets.

Aside from your favorable feedback on Capco’s competitive reward and work life balance, we are very disappointed to read your review. It is also inaccurate as we have many examples of employees who started as junior consultants at Capco and have progressed and built a rewarding career with the firm. As a former Associate, you will be aware of the extensive training offered to those on our Associate Talent Program both on and off the job alongside coaching and mentoring. Time and again on this forum people cite the real opportunity to make a difference and our inclusive culture as reasons to stay. Any employee who feels that they are not able to secure meaningful experience and opportunities for growth should discuss this with their manager and our HR team.
