In a employment dry area, CCCC is a great option

Pros

Staff union. Friendly colleagues. Winter (2-week) closure (optional). Great benefits. Management open and very approachable. Union Stewards. opportunities to meet colleagues beyond your department.

Cons

campus and buildings could use a lot of updating, but that is subject to the state's funding. Very friendly co-workers. That applies to faculty and management towards staff. I have worked with other colleges where fac. and mgmnt. couldn't be bothered giving staff a glance walking past you in the hall. Not so at 4 C's. Union stewards are approachable and go the distance for you.
