If you can get in at a high enough grade, you'll have a great work life balance - because you'll never have to actually work. Basically a masterclass in patience because it will be constantly tested. You can come in at a relatively high compensation, but don't expect it to ever significantly grow. There are clients that can be great additions to your resume, blink and you'll miss them because clients churn more than butter around here. There does seem to be a changing of the guard across senior leadership, I can't wait to see how this turns out. There are extremely talented developers in the organization, and they are burning through them. You'll get really good at math because the only thing that matters is your timecard and billability, but the project codes will constantly expire and the seventeen teams responsible for updating them will drag their feet while you get screamed at for low utilization.
Cons
The structure of the entire organization fosters competition, not collaboration, across business units. This leads to internal cannibalization and rampant unprofessionalism. Leadership will never take accountability for missed forecasts, deals falling through, or clients taking advantage of team members. Don't worry, in 3 months they'll introduce a new acronym that will save us all. People Managers will often have absolutely zero idea of their reports’ day to day and offer little value in helping you progress in your career. You will be assigned superfluous "Priorities" that have no actual metrics to gauge success, however. There is no standardization for delivery and processes across projects, causing inefficiencies and redundancies for the team. Once you're on the bench, it's best to start packing your bags. To be blunt, this place is riddled with organizational and administrative inefficiencies that make doing your job more difficult than it should be by burdening you with trying to navigate them.
