Pros
I hated leaving American Funds, and only left to relocate. The benefits, the people, the learning opportunities, the facilities...everything was beyond compare. I consider myself incredibly lucky to have worked for a company with such high standards. The interview and selection process was very thorough, which made me feel like I was one of a select few to make it through. That translated into the fact that I then got to work with some very high quality people who were smart and cared about doing a good job. What could be better than that?
Cons
I've seen some of the cons others have stated about American Funds and I find them rather disturbing. All I can say is I had a wonderful experience. It's work people...work is work and if you have to work, this is a great place to do it. Have some other work experiences and then reflect on your experience at American Funds, and I bet you'll see it in a different light.
