Great pay, brilliant co-workers, amazing amenities (food services, striking campuses, modern technologies, etc.). Company that has steadily grown and is far more strategic than its peers. Bright future and should continue to prosper.
Cons
The comments around performance management are fair. For such a thoughtful company that seemingly cares about associate well being, the performance management process creates an environment where you obsess about your perception rather than focusing on doing your best work. Capital One pays well and is a pay for performance company, but there must be a better way to achieve that outcome without slapping below ratings on 15% of the employees base every 6 months. The constant cycle of PIPs, below reviews, losing co-workers and then having to train someone new is soul-sucking.
