      Pros

      Capital One provides challenging work with very smart people. The culture is great, in that managers are truly focused on providing work life balance. Overall, I would say that employees are happy with the environment of the company.

      Cons

      Too much of the workforce at Capital One does not create value. Many people work on projects which don't get to market, & many other people work inefficiently. Hard work & dedication is not a factor in getting promotions, which leads to an environment where unproductive workers can be promoted to manager.

      Pros

      The money was pretty good, and there are some intelligent people to work with. The work was moderately paced, and the company was not driven to get things done quickly. It was possible to transfer out of a department into another, though it was not easy. A lot of competition with other people, and a lot of politics are needed to get things done, though it seems that no one wants to take responsibility to get anything done.

      Cons

      Too warm and fuzzy, too vague on reviews, and inability of management to take care of people or know what is really going on. Management only seems to look to what senior managers want, or will do what will get them promoted.
