Pros

I work were I am for two reasons. The location is good for my daughter and how close I am to her school and the family work/life balance. I am able to get my daughter from school and bring her to work or take off when either of my children are sick with no questions asked.

Cons

Never get recognized for hard work only the mistakes, small branches don't get recognized unless they are able to make a huge boom for the company. People are friendly when they want soemthing either personal or professional. No one likes to help out. When a good job is performed many times it goes unrecognized unless once again it is a large impact for the company not the branch or the personel.

Pros

The recruiting process is fairly stringent, so the people you end up working with are of high caliber. A great part of the culture is the 'fun' element and even senior managers do not take themselves too seriously. Makes for a highly enjoyable environment where people focus on delivering results while making sure they are enjoying themselves.

Cons

Within certain groups (esp. marketing) there is quite a lot of competition among employees, with plenty type-A people pushing ahead to get promoted as fast as possible and ahead of everyone else.

Pros

Although everything written here can be different depending on the department, at least they are valid for the risk department. Flexibility: as long as you get your job done, it does not matter if you want to take half an hour or two hours for lunch or if you want to take a break in the middle of your day to go to the gym. If you need a day off for whatever reason you will have it. In general, there are not very strict rules, so you can ask for whatever you want to your manager. Of course, you will have to be flexible with the company as well (it is a two-way relationship).

Cons

Sometimes you have got to work very fast to get things done, and work overtime, which is not paid (and this is the flexibility from the employee to the employer).
