Pros

Co-Workers are amazing to work with and everyone collaborates great together. Office environment is very laid back and casual dress code. I have been rewarded for hard work and meeting goals/deadlines and you will too! Our CEO, Mark is very passionate about this company and is involved in the day to day operations, he is not afraid to roll up his sleeves and jump right into help with anything. Quarterly meetings are great, Mark brings in free lunch, we have employee recognition, great prize giveaways and find out how the company is performing and anything new and exciting coming up. Great work/life balance, no late nights or weekends working here! Benefits are great, health insurance/dental/vision are very affordable with great coverage.

Cons

PTO/Vacation Time are less than industry standards, would like more Paid Time Off and possibly look into flex time! Work hours are strictly Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:00, would be nice if we had some flexibility on this set schedule. Holiday Policy could use some updating.

Pros

During my initial interview, I had expressed I would only be interested in working for this company for a year. I have just reached my third year at C.K.E.. Starting in an entry level production position, I have worked hard, and have been recognized for it. I have since earned multiple promotions which have lead me to my role in the company today. I continue to accept new challenges and opportunities to continue moving up in the company. I don't know what direction my career will take me, whether it is 10 or more years at this company, or not. One thing is for certain, if you apply yourself this is a great place for gaining experience to put on a resume. I have gained valuable experience during my time here. Besides that, I have made lasting friendships with my co-workers and have had great opportunities to network myself not only within the industry, but in the community as well. This has been one of my favorite experiences at a business.

Cons

I do have a few cons to discuss. My first is issue is we do not receive paid time off. We get a set amount of hours to use which only reset once a year. Losing pay for either being genuinely sick or having a family emergency, while you have allotted time, is rough. While for the most part, if I had a situation arise that needed me to miss work, I have been accommodated. But once the time off has run out, you tend to be out of luck. It would be nice to earn accrued paid time off. Secondly, our company doesn't offer much encouragement to further your education and offers no incentives or assistance towards earning a degree. Our company has grown exponentially since my first arrival and continues to do so everyday. We are encouraged we could be hired internally for higher paying positions within the company. While we have the experience either from our time at this company or from others, some of us do not currently have degrees to meet the hiring criteria. I know there are a lot of us working towards a degree (some full time), and are continuing to work a 40 hour week. It would be amazing if Car Keys Express would offer tuition assistance or paid time away to earn the degree's needed to be considered for higher level positions. We are proving to be diligent hard working individuals both wanting to succeed at business and our education. Car Keys Express could make a better effort to recognize that.

Pros

You are linked in with some amazing people. They care about their work and WANT to work (unlike a lot of places). We know why we are here...to make money. As an account Manager it’s all about volume of keys and sales. You’ll have a whole team that will help at the flip of a phone. Pay plan changes but if you know pay plans...work it. When you do...it’s best for you and the company. Do your job and you’re left alone. Wake up, go to work, make money, nobody bothers you. Pretty simple. Good benefits. My 401K is killing it! Work/life balance is on par. (About to take a nice PAID vacation). Help is a phone call away. May be 10 phone calls but the guys and gals are busy...once they can answer...they really do help.

Cons

I’ve been here a year and a half. I keep an eye on the reviews. I can’t say what goes on in Louisville. But a lot of employment is nationwide. Don’t worry about “drama” in Louisville. It won’t effect you. But it does make you wonder who is posting what reviews...they may be the help you’re calling for! I worry if the person I’m talking to dislikes the company. Mainly because that effects my family. But you will feel you aren’t getting the help you need. TRUST ME...it’s because you aren’t doing it the right way, at first. Your team will help you find the right way.
