Good for hourly, bad for management

Pros

Hourly associates are treated decently. They have good benefits (health / dental / vision, 401k) and pretty good job security. You will get associate purchasing discounts on vehicles / parts / service.

Cons

The treatment that hired on department managers receive depends on whether or not you are friends with a higher up. If you are not friends with someone high up on the food chain, they will make your life difficult.

Ok compensation, but others get paid more despite the amount of work they don't do

Cons

Don't care that I have a family and really want to be there for my kids..

Pros

friendly work environment. minimal "direction" from managers, which I like. I feel very independent while conducting my daily activities. Great training and on-going support format.

Cons

frequently stay late or skip lunch due to the unpredictability of customers, and the need to make $$. Work 1-2 nights a week until 9PM, and almost every weekend (5 out of 6). Low pay for the amount of effort put into each transaction.
