CGM is Great

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

CGM values employee feedback and actually implements changes on our behalf. The work is challenging and rewarding, which is reflected monetarily in our quarterly bonuses. The workplace culture is unmatched, and that was highlighted at the start of the pandemic. From the CEO to Asset Management to onsite team members, we are challenged, valued, and rewarded in a way that makes the workplace so dynamic.

Cons

Pay could be better/less of a gap between onsite and HQ

Phenomenal insight and way to champion the core values. You are 100% correct that the inherent belief we all have of "being in it together" helped us not only to survive but to flourish in what will undoubtedly be a time for the history books. Regarding pay, what a prescient thing to be thinking about. The world is changing day by day and if we're going to continue to thrive, it will have to be done so equitably. I don't want to tip the hand too much here, but be on the lookout for something super exciting as we approach Q4.

They’re meh

Pros

It’s a totally fine company to work for. Pays fine, benefits are actually great, I know some people that have had a fantastic experience and others that have had a really negative experience. After having some time to look back at my experience with cardinal I can say I truly believe your experience has a lot to do with your cell/group. Overall I had a fine time, but it probably would have been better if I wasn’t in Group 2...

Cons

For SURE they are obsessed with their HQ team. It’s actually pretty insulting. I personally worked on site since the very beginning of the pandemic and we were required to stay open well after HQ was allowed to work from home. That’s not really what I have a problem with- my problem is that they still offered HQ employees every Friday in December off while the on site teams were quite literally putting their lives at risk every day.... I mean my god it was maybe the most tone deaf thing ive seems in a hot minute. Additionally, HQ receives unlimited PTO, lots of fun events (pour at four, snow days, etc.), and on site is just kinda there...

Experience Depends on Cell and Client

Anonymous employee
Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Great benefits, cell support is there if you are in the right location-as is client support, the intent and message are there with the core values but the "culture" has become lost along the way

Cons

Stick to your core values and "culture"- including conducting more anonymous surveys about your Cell Leadership and HR that are actually anonymous where cell leaders don't chastise team members and let them know that they can pull reports to see how many people haven't completed the surveys sent out...Some cells have great leaders and clients to work for while others make people miserable to go to work everyday and it shows with higher turnover. Lower budgets all around mean lower salaries than market, lower leasing and marketing budgets to spend against comps, and lower maintenance budgets for repairs

I'm disappointed to hear that there has been messaging that the Qualtrix surveys aren't anonymous. Hearing that can only serve to devalue our culture, as you clearly pointed out. Open and honest communication is truly the main driver of our relationships as individuals, and it's disappointing to hear that there is a breakdown. I hope you know though, that your open and honest feedback both here and in those surveys will help in keeping the culture alive if even one step at a time. Thank you for using your voice.
