Pros
There is an actuarial student program in place that provides paid study time and exam fees. The co-workers are smart and collaborative for the most part. Benefits are good and in line with other big companies. Flexible work arrangements help with work/life balance.
Cons
The actuarial student program has less attractive benefits as compared to other big actuarial employers. Pay is lower and it is hard to retain and attract talent in a very strong health actuarial job market. Career advancement is slow. Most people are stuck in the same job titles for years and usually resort to moving to other companies for advancement.
