Pros
For almost 2 years I’ve watched the leadership of this company guide the organization through the pandemic, through national/local racial tension and more. There is no better company I would like to be apart of than CareFirst right now. They really do care first. I work in the HR dept. and my team is thee BEST. My boss is the best. My boss’ boss is the best. My boss’ boss’ boss is the best! I am challenged in my work and blessed to lean on a team who is there for me and helps me keep things in perspective. I plan to grow here for a very long time!
No job/company is perfect—but this (for me) is super DUPER close!
A few Pros:

- as a female BIPOC, I feel safe, heard, and valued
- while working in the pandemic I feel informed, safe and cared for
- autonomy, collaboration and ongoing remote work status
- benefits, annual bonus based on performance, annual increase in pay
- friendly, brilliant community of colleagues
- team gatherings, events (pre-Covid era)
Cons
- often strapped by budgets—can’t readily buy things that are needed
