Pros

Cargill overall has done well by me. I've been promoted twice in 4 years. There is a lot opportunity for college grads to take on large scale projects and be in charge of many areas of the plants. They have strong core values and safety and integrity is always key. There are tons of opportunities to gain and build on your knowledge base. Senior leadership has a pretty good understanding on challenges at the plant level and Safety is lived, not just talked about.

Cons

Too many large initiatives happening at the same time. As a manager it can be difficult to drive change, hold ourselves and others accountable for the change, and convince reluctant employees to change when we have 3 or 4 large scale changes every couple of years or so.

Pros

Used to be: Self fulfilling, challenging and inspiring. Built on team spirit and cooperation and deep analysis.

Cons

Too much centralization past 4 years coming down from HQ. Killed intiative and leadership and accountability.
