Pros

none existent, complete waist of time, learned one think is to be aware for corporate greed

Cons

complete abuse of the workforce, mentally and career wise. toxic environment for work, no appreciation for their employee in term of compensation, reward, feedback .... very discriminatory company created a work environment of multiple small bands of ignorants running the show, Minneapolis headquarter is fine with that as long as the plant is making money.

Pros

I really enjoyed the majority of my co-workers during a 6 year stint as an engineer at Cargill. Lots of promotion opportunities and a real sense of camaraderie. Plenty of opportunity to do things outside of your comfort level and you are only limited by yourself.

Cons

Salary was below average. Workload was often very high. Not a very good work-life balance compared to other companies I have been with. It's a constant grind. Unfortunately you often have to compensate for the slack of other employees and management. Most people are very over-worked and disengaged.

Pros

Cargill is a very large, stable, well diversified company. There are a lot of opportunities for advancement and you can redirect your career without leaving the company. Their benefits are very good, some of the best in the industry. This is a company with very high integrity and they live out their values, not just talk about them.

Cons

There's a lot of bureaucracy and corporate red tape. The organization moves painfully slowly. All the resources in the world are completely useless if you can't move quickly enough to take advantage of opportunities. Compensation in most cases is below average. Senior leadership, a traditional strength of the company, has gotten worse in recent years. In general, corporate culture is a strength but it varies widely by location and business unit with some very unhealthy corporate cultures allowed to continue in some locations.
