      Carilion has been a very disappointing experience on all levels.

      Pros

      Employees a large portion of the greater Roanoke Valley. Gives back to the community. Non-profit organization that provides care to those that have no insurance.

      Cons

      Lack of communication for 90% of the employees creating duplication if effort and poor patient and employee care. Extremely political. Contradictory to mission. Constant change in direction. Employees do not feel valued or appreciated.

      Noble mission of patient-centered care. Employees (co-workers) are good people who care about each other. New CEO is communicating more to employees.

      Too conservative in dealing with employee problems and bad employees at all levels.
