Pay and overtime pay are good for EMT’s and Medics. Slow paced and more predictable than emergency transport.

Cons

Very depressing. That’s little opportunity to feel like you’re making a difference.

Pros

Carilion is a great company. Dependable, fair and squared away. They do, however, have a long history of putting so much on nurses that the job becomes super stressful and then backing down when there is an exodus, only to repeat again.

Cons

Very stressful. Too high of a patient load, inefficient technology set up.
