Pros

This place had an excellent work atmosphere, you felt pride in the smallest tasks because you could just see the appreciation from the customers and most of the management. Reasonable pay was a good thing too. They have an excellent system for dropping and picking up shifts and most of the management team is really understanding. They offered staff parking at my location and if the local security ticketed your vehicle they covered it. Another pro is that they will push you through the positions so that you may move up the ladder, it is encouraged and they offer most of the tools needed to achieve this.

Cons

I want to start by saying this may have been my trainer specifically but where I felt the position lacked was in the training. I was provided next to no training and expected to rely on my previous experience and be completely perfect. However, they provide minimal Carl's specific training and there seems to be no actual training system in Calgary, Alberta at this time. If there was, I was not provided and was then let go for "making too many mistakes." The owners work closely with the staff and this is a blessing and curse. While most of the owners are understanding and want you to succeed the owner named "Ti" has little tolerance for newbies and expects absolute perfection from employees of a mere two week tenure. He appeared nice at first but on my last day working their he cited lies as the reason for letting me go. Stating a lack of qualification and complaints from other staff. After a period of time to verify these claims despite being let go I did find them to be false. It was simply and I am quoting another member of the team who will remain anonymous "because I pissed Ti off." I was then told I was not qualified to work there. I have worked for some of the largest fast food restaurants in Canada and succeeded at those positions and left of my own volition. The difference between them and Carl's Jr was the rigid training programs provided. Working on the computer and having hands-on training made the difference. So I strongly disagree with that statement.

Pros

I have a lot of fun working there.Lots of new experiences as I've never worked in fast food before.

Cons

Having trouble learning everything in time given to train. As I have many years experience in customer service and cooking just not in fast food
