Pros

Great resources and some of the upper management are very good, value employees, and help provide resources to get projects done.

Cons

Many of the office managers and upper management are elitist, unapproachable, don't value the employees, don't provide opportunities for advancement, and hoard bonuses for themselves. This makes sense because most of the stock is held by less than 100 people. Guess which ones are the worst offenders! Myself and many others that left the company and received pay increases of 20-25%. They are definitely underpaying people.

Pros

Excellent culture driven by the CEO and implemented by all. Much better work/life balance than at competitors. No competitor has comp time like Carollo. You can have an excellent career (and get lots of visibility and be financially successful) AS AN ENGINEER. You do not need to pivot to become a project manager, or client service manager to advance your career. HR is on the employee's side, and it definitely not corporate's tool to drive profitability. Compensation is competitive. Good PTO, good benefits. Firm invests in employees and cares about employees. Makes an effort to keep folks happy.

Cons

Roles can be defined a bit loosely at hiring (things can be fluid at Carollo and your role could evolve). Criteria to make it to shareholder are not clear (black box). It takes time and a certain level to make it. Bonuses for engineers under 10 years of experience are not great (but that same talent pool is learning a lot at Carollo and growing fast).

They care about there people and do big company projects with a small company approach. Great experience for young engineers.

Cons

Okay salary increases but made up for by bonuses.
