- location is central, office is modern - international exposure. International projects - good career opportunities (vertically and horizontally), but only if you know the right people - business outlook is good and company is stable - lots of learning opportunities in finance and new technologies - remote work 1/2 of the time - vacation days number is high for Japan

Cons

- discrimination in Japan office if you’re not Japanese or Asian (people ignoring you/ your questions and even avoiding to say hello), but on the Japan average - lot of politics, your career will depend only on the sponsor you have, not the efforts you put - hundreds of people leaving after the Toshiba acquisition by Carrier, causing disruption - There’s discontent on the company increasingly becoming Chinese as the entire APAC leadership is from China. - sometimes long hours with evening calls with US HQ - the right hand does not know what the left hand does; lot of people working on the same projects without knowing it. Most of the time spent on calls on aligning on data and processes/knowledge. - salary is lower than average
