Pros

Ability to move to different locations within US Good tuition reimbursement Decent benefits package

Cons

Carrier has gone down hill since I started. I worked at the company for 8 years and saw the culture shift to an all out boys club. Things were better under Bob McDonough. After Gitlin came in the culture really took a hit. I believe Gitlin allowed ineffective leaders at the top to fight amongst each other and encouraged toxic work environments. I saw a number of talented women not promoted and white men brought in from outside the company. The company is great if you are a white male. You will be promoted constantly even if you don’t have any knowledge of the area you are taking over. Being a friend of Gitlin is enough.

Pros

Great coworkers, ability to work remotely in some roles, decent pay and benefits.

Cons

This is a very cult like company most positions are filled with family and friends. Managers do not follow Corporate policies and retaliate against employees for using personal and sick time. HR is a 3rd party company that does not advocate for employees more so used as a tool for managers to intimidate employees. Upper management is out of state and does not have a clue of day to day work life and visits campus maybe once a year during holiday parties. Syracuse campus is a health hazard and is constantly leaking water out of the toilets all over the floor. The turn around is high you will be training a new class at least 3-4 times a year.

Pros

Smart people, hardworking team, WLB

Cons

Not keeping up with competition; very silo’d. Two (or more) divisions will claim they “own” client relationships and don’t want others within the company to speak to a client - even tho it has nothing to do with them
