      Great company, huge opportunities at the corporate office as a result of spin off from UTC

      Pros

      Really enjoyed my time working in HR at the Carrier corporate office. The company sets high expectations and works hard, but also recognizes and rewards performance. Lots of career opportunity and interesting projects as a result of the spin into an independently traded company. It may not be for everyone, but if you are humble and put in the work, you can go very far with this company.

      Cons

      Back office systems aren’t the best and can cause manual workarounds. This is thankfully an area of focus for the company going forward.

      Pros

      Good work life balance. Good 401(k) matching.

      Cons

      Salaries not market competitive and raises are worse. Culture of distrust. Motivated by fear of risk. Tolerates toxic people because they've been there forever and know a lot of the industry. Advancement based more on seniority than effectiveness, but they don't train, so they're stuck in the past.

      Training is lacking, onboarding was a joke, and support doesn't exist so if you really don't know the WebCTRL system you had better either learn it very quickly (on your own time) or keep your resume posted!
