Pros

Great people excluding upper leadership. Good pay and decent benefits.

Cons

Leadership team is very middle school girl clich-y. Sometimes I felt like I was back in the locker room listening to the BS going on. Took 7 years to get one promotion. They do not promote from within even though they say they do. We did an amazing job working remote during the pandemic but were forced back into the office last year, despite multiple conversations with management about not wanting to return. They even ignored a company-wide survey. Their entire creative process is a hot mess. If leadership wants something changed, everyone scrambles the day before it goes live. No one ever stands up and goes, hey, this change will cost this many hours and put too much strain on the team. If you want to work here, avoid the marketing department.

Pros

Amazing culture, positive attitude among everyone, and a large team full of ambitious and talented hard workers. Truly hybrid--work from home 3 days a week, in office 2 days unless deadlines demand more in-office time.

Cons

Pay is lagging behind inflation, art team is overlooked in the grand scheme of the company, and culture may be overly positive sometimes--feels like there is no room to express unhappiness. Also, TIGHT deadlines and high volume of work adds up to disproportionate levels of stress for a job that is designing baby clothes.

Pros

I love the art team at carters, across the board the art teams are dedicated and hardworking and really like a family.

Cons

I do wish that as a starting role, we weren't hourly. Being hourly is a bit of a downside but overall not the worst thing for a beginner role at a company.
