Good product, poor leadership

Pros

Solid core product, established relationship with clients. Good exposure to payments industry, if that is what you are interested in.

Cons

Poor communication between teams. Decisions are often made by senior management without informing project stakeholders. Constant change in direction and the need for management to get involved in small details, coupled with unrealistic expectations, results in a lot of rework and slippage in deadlines. Poor work life balance. If things go wrong, blame is assigned quickly and people are held accountable for decisions made by higher management.

Pros

Fast moving, forward looking. Products are used very widely in the industry. Use a lot of new technology and new software dev techniques, and is constantly evolving. Interesting that most of the reviews here are negative, given the overall attitude i saw at the company that is surprising but disgruntled employees are the most likely to report a review. Happy people less likely, so for a small company it is hard to not see disproportionate numbers of reviews that are negative. I was happy there and taking the time to let others know about it. Provide some balance.

Cons

Most of the upsides can be seen as downsides for some people. It is fast moving, and forward looking and they are constantly evolving. If you are looking for a 9-5 steady banking job that is very predictable, then this is not the place to be.
