Pros

Being able to work in the field I have passion for

Cons

Significant transition and restructuring occurring - very little communication from upper management on impacts of change. Long term employees having to accept position changes or being laid off. Huge shift in culture and values.

We want to thank you for taking time to provide us with feedback regarding your experience working with our Agency. Our goal is to foster a positive work experience for those who make that important choice to join us, and in your case we fell short. We apologize that communication around the company’s transition was not clear. One of our ongoing objectives is to provide better communication to our managers and employees and will continue to evaluate the most effective way to do so. We recognize that organizational change is not always easy for anyone and are working to better communicate transitions as effectively as possible as we grow. As we evolve, we will continuously strive to improve our employees experience.

Pros

I have been working with CDI CDC for 2 years now. It is the most rewarding job I have ever had! I love how the teachers have the freedom to decide and plan lessons based on the children interests (HIGH SCOPE/Reggio philosophy). The management is very supportive and is very flexible with your needs in term of work schedule, school, and preferences.

Cons

Low pay and not a lot of opportunity to grow. Many teachers I know have been working at the same position for more than 10 years!

Pros

Center staff committed to working with children and families; Developmental Profile assessments twice per year ensured the needs of the children in the program were being met.

Cons

It seemed management was more interested in putting staff down rather than building them up and giving them the tools to be successful.
