Pros

Very solid company, operating worldwide and providing a lot of opportunities for people willing to see the world beyond Peoria.

Cons

As a large company, things are kind of slow. The company time is definitely not beating at the same pace than the employee time. CAT is suited for old foxes type people. You need to prove your skills and have min 10 years of experience and 5 years of service before you would be given any management position.

Pros

Learning opportunity is provided on the Job. Leaders Listen.

Cons

Career growth wont happen overnight. Most of the process would take double the time than a normal phase

Pros

Good compensation, fairly normal stress levels, customer oriented approach ... Provide some employee engagement at workplace/community ... hold focus on strong financial performance

Cons

Slow decision making, autonomous, does not foster results / achievement ... senior management is not involved in understanding projects/needs and many decisions do not benefit the bottom line of the projects and damage customer relations ... no unity of strategic directions
