Pros

They take care of the prime reason why we are in this industry and that is Total Guest Satisfaction. Working for Celebrity as widen my scope on life and I learn to live and work with people form different nationality and culture. Its an educational experience and I am loving it.

Cons

They need to do better with their benefits and retirement plan. On land when you work for a company for a long time they take care of you better in this matter.

Pros

The crew are top-notch and wonderful, well-chosen people with whom to work. Work hours are long, but fairly well maintained -- a hard line to toe in the cruise industry. Extra training in your field of expertise (or even outside of your field) is readily available and encouraged. Crew and staff amenities including a foreign language lab, well-kept crew gym and the ubiquitous crew bar. The food is above average and I was particularly impressed with the emphasis on job safety.

Cons

t seems that RCCL's acquisition of Celebrity Cruises has been somewhat of an afterthought. Having served on all three of Celebrity's classes of ships, the prevailing atitude has been to focus on the welfare of the largest and newest of its fleet, while neglecting the smaller sister ships in terms of maintenance of some of the equipment. Many things that needed replacement on the older ships (as far as entertainment department) are shoe-stringed together with repairs, requiring unnecessary man hours from an already well-worked staff. Having worked on other cruise lines, I also found upper management to be a little more unapproachable than other cruise lines.
