Thank you for your positive review and that you feel like family while at work. That is a strong endorsement for your co-workers. Andrew Stringer - Exec Dir, Global Human Resources. Thank you for your comment on our software. We do appreciate that keeping pace with modern computing expectations is important to the company. Celerion invests in technology at a much higher rate than the industry average. This has allowed us to be one of the most innovative CROs for which we have been consistently recognized. In some areas of the business the regulatory requirements that must be met are extremely stringent therefore we must proceed at a more conservative pace, allowing us to strike a fine balance between operational needs, system advancements and regulatory requirements. We would like to encourage you to submit any ideas that you have for improvement through our governance process, as it’s through these initiatives that we are best able to meet expectations. Pros

I am fairly new, but I believe my position is the lowest of full-time benefited positions. Pay is decent ($15-18 according to glassdoor), hours are flexible. There are certain times you need to be here at odd hours but basically you know your job and make your schedule around getting your job done, which is awesome. I could see how entry level folks in the clinic could be frustrated with lower pay and weird schedules (less flexible for them), but medical research is so complicated and they aren't involved in the planning, logistics, and set-up. They just collect their piece of data at the right time and while that is very important, it doesn't require the higher pay range. They generally promote from within, and I feel like there's always room to move up or switch positions to something that's a better fit for you. Everything has a strict protocol, which is good for me because once you learn, you don't have to worry about being creative enough or doing the right thing at the right time--they tell you. The training department is super helpful. Everyone I've met seems great and super willing to help you out.

Cons

Without experience in the medical field, it can be awkward working in the clinic until you learn to be sure of yourself and professional about bodily fluids and touching people. Like I said above, sometimes you need to be here at 5am or 11pm or for a few hours on a Saturday, but you'll know in advance and be able to plan for it.
