Pros
- Unlike the previous CEO, our new CEO seems legitimately concerned about the quality of the company's work and its cultural identity, rather than how much we can outcompete our competitors and snag new clients. I'm hopeful for the first time in a while that things may change. - Coworkers typically get along fine through a common sense of stress and discontent. Misery loves company after all. - Even though it's hardly acknowledged, people here work HARD, and working here means you can take the skills gained here and work anywhere else for half the effort and half the stress (and more pay). - A revolving door means there's always open positions that you can move upward into and learn new skills.
Cons
- Very poorly managed: staffing, accountability, transparency, and engagement are each lacking. I haven't been able to tell if it's intentional mismanagement or if its inexperience. However, what is clear: strong leaders have not stayed long. - The company maintains a poor reputation within the local pathology space due to a culture of overworking and undercompensating employees with minimal recognition. I do not feel any pride in saying that I work here. - Employee morale has been at rock bottom, and management has trouble figuring out why, how to fix it, and how to do better. - Employee information was compromised twice, most recently in a cyberattack. While I'm grateful PHI was not exposed, the mismanagement and lax secuity surrounding employee information is worrysome at best. I guess that's what Norton LifeLock is for.
