Pros

You can make good money by hustling phones on the side. Mediocrity is rewarded. You can work as little as you want (technically). You overcharge people or sell accessories on the side and pocket the money. Technically, you can make a lot of money here, but you have to cheat and lie, using every dirty salesman tactic known to man in order to do so.

Cons

They have meetings at odd hours of the night because the job structure doesn't allow everyone to be off at the same time. They cheat people by charging hidden fees. They cheat you out of commission by not telling you exactly why your final paycheck is lower than what you were paid. Also, they charge you for anything that's missing or stolen from the stores. So if a thieving coworker decides to steal a $600 iPhone, everyone working that day shares that loss. (if you have done cellphone jobs before, you know you have a 2 month wait before you get your first commission. If you're not accustomed to that, then get ready). Turnover is higher than it should, so since they don't have the personnel, they will try to have you work almost everyday. They want you to set appointments too, because you won't get the same traffic as corporate stores, so even on your off time you'll spend every waking hour, selling. They use money as a motivator and there's more to life than that....they lack morals. They don't have traditional managers at any store, so that means you don't have good central management to guide you or answer questions. They want manager-minded people, but the reality is that successful companies cannot have a room full of managers and not have at least a few "followers" ( who they refer to as clerks). They keep nasty surroundings. You might get robbed. Your coworkers can cheat you out of being shared on commissions/steal sales. Your shift might include a closing shift that will end at 9pm....if you have a last minute customer, you could be in the store well into the night! And they don't pay over time. You don't have a central workplace. You bounce across the city working at various stores. Some days, you might not make a dime.

Pros

Tons of Flexibility...if you can get someone to agree to work your crappy shift that was assigned to you. Usually good co-workers.

Cons

100% Commission, pay-outs for phones keeps lowering, and the biggest one is what they call "deacts". A deact occurs when a person you sold a phone to (upgrade or new line of service) either cancels their account or removed the device from their account within a 6 month period. The result of a deact is the total amount of your commission PLUS the equipment loss is taken out of your check. Congrats, you have just paid a company to work for them. Makes absolutely no sense considering it is not YOUR responsibility as an employee to pay for the COMPANY'S equipment when it is completely out of your control if a customer cancels or not. Huge scam, and the owner is rewarded handsomely off of this...two private jets and a brand new "castle" he recently built. Can't believe it is even legal, but you sign a piece of paper when you are hired that says you agree to this in the fine print, so my advice...STAY FAR AWAY.
