Pros

Good commissions if you know how to sell. Be prepared to lie to people/persuade to get them to buy old products so you can make fat commissions.

Cons

Recent management changes trying to make the company more like corporate. As an employee you are not valued, if you screw up and your manager dislikes you, they will replace you. Not what it used to be a few years ago. Company cutting commissions and packing sales floor with reps. You used to make over $75k a year, now your lucky to make $50k. Stay away. Not for newbies in the wireless biz. No paid vacations, no sick time, nothing. You don’t work, you make zero. Its a job, not a career. You work only 6 hour days, in the ow months you make zero some days. Good luck.

Pros

You make a lot of money in one customer visit if you sell them something they don't want

Cons

You have to lie everyday to customers to make money. You then have to deal with pissed off customers from other reps who previously ripped them off. The whole scheme is you lie about a two year ($10 a month) contract on a $1 tablet with a 14 day return policy. The issue is the customer will not see a bill change for 30 days so they can never return the device.

Pros

Competitive wages and laid back atmosphere. If you're fresh out of college this may be a stepping stone for you.

Cons

Unethical, As a sales rep you assume all liability and risk what is called deacts. You are expected to run a credit check on people and as long as they have proper ID, know their social security info, and have a major credit card to pay then you are good to go. The problem is if they deactivate their account within the first 6 months for any reason, you as an employee lose the commission and in a lot of cases, even more. You had absolutely no say so in whether they were qualified for their purchase. Verizon runs their credit, but yet you get charged months down the road if they abandon their service for ANY reason. You will be expected to charge customers $40 set up and programming fees for every transaction so the employees and company can make more money. They charge PREMIUM pricing, which is typically $50 to $150 more than the corporate locations charge. They are charging the consumer more money than they should in order to pay themselves and their sales reps. The reps that are unethical and crooked are the sales reps that are rewarded and "successful" with this company, and it's unfortunate that the consumer has no idea they are being done this way. They are a big enough entity with Verizon to not care if what they are doing is wrong. These are just a couple of examples of why I would never recommend working for this authorized retailer.
