Disfunctional but a good stepping stone
Pros
-Great training in the beginning and throughout -paid week of training in knoxville tn... the class work is boring but the nights are yours to do whatever you choose. -the people are mostly fun -you are basically able to take off time whenever you want, even if it's for a few weeks or a month -you make your own schedule -you manage yourself for the most part. -great if you are HIGHLY motivated by money -there is no cap on how much you can make... i made $500 in one day. -you have the ability to work as little or as much as you want... but if you want to make a decent living you will be working a LOT -a great place to START -gives young people an opportunity for their first professional job and they are always hiring
Cons
-poor management -rarely paid for trainings, even though they are mandatory -charged for missing inventory even if it is stolen by another employee or an individual -lots of "share riding" -100% commission... you may work 12 hours one day to make $1 -when items are returned, it is taken out of your check. -when people DEACTIVATE their phone you are charged with "deacts". So basically, if someone doesn't complete a certain amount of their phone contract the salesperson has not only the initial commission earned taken from their check, but also the "phone loss"(cost of the device) -some months your deacts may reach even $1000. -you are charged for deacts even if you were just on the original share and you have never even met the customer. -the environment reinforces negative behavior-lying, cheating, extramarital affairs, drinking, etc. -people even drink at meetings -no paid vacation... if you don't work you don't make money.... ever -it's hard to find people of integrity in this company. -very little opportunity for growth in position
