Pros

- No cap on earnings - Entrepreneurial environment. You are encouraged to be creative in self promotion both inside the stores, and outside in the community. - Management is conscious of identifying your personal strengths and celebrating them, as well as helping you to identify and improve your weaknesses - Multiple training classes are offered in many different areas of the business. - It's a culture similar to working for a small business where you know the owners of your market and talk to them regularly. Having come from big box retail sales it was refreshing to have this close knit feeling, rather than the "corporate rule" I was accustomed to. - Leadership qualities are revered; you are encouraged to discuss new ideas and suggestions for company improvement.

Cons

- The company is relatively young and lacks some standardized procedure guidelines. It is great that they are willing to change policy to improve company function and efficiency, but the regular procedure changes can be frustrating, and they are not always communicated to the teams well. - Lack of group benefit purchasing programs.

Pros

Great money if you are willing to work 7 days a week, 12 hours a day and have no life

Cons

Cellular Sales makes you get an LLC and have you work as an independant contractor which means no benefits, no sick pay, no vacation pay. Worst part is the commission structure. When you get a customer to sign up for service they have to remain active on the account for 6 months which means if they don't pay their bill, you get charged back your commission PLUS the cost of the phone. So if you sell someone an iphone and they don't pay their bill YOU get $800 taken out of your paycheck. How fun is that to work for a company where you get to hand over your hard earned money to them?!? Verizon lowers their credit score standards all the time so you, the sales rep, take all the risk on these customer's with bad credit and pay the price while the owners of the company fly around in their private jets and have 2-3 sports cars each. These rich owners get richer and the poor sales reps can barely pay their bills. One rep didn't even get a paycheck for two months and had to PAY the company money instead of getting a check. I wish I knew then what I know now and I would have never wasted my time with this company. How they can legally get away with this is beyond me.

Pros

I love the flexibility of the job. I know people who go to school, have multiple kids, have hobbies, and enjoy life outside and inside of work. Its great commissions compared to ANYWHERE else I've worked in the industry. Its a solid industry; phones aren't going anywhere, and I've never worked anywhere (even Verizon's corporate stores) where they listen to my opinions as much as they do here. I like being able to control my own schedule without needing "approval". This is the kind of opportunity where it is what I make it to be... I'm in control of my own happiness and paycheck. If I want to make more, I just work harder (and smarter). :) It's also nice that I don't rely entirely on myself, but have a team around me that wants me to be successful, because it makes them more successful at the same time.

Cons

Its not for everyone, especially if you're not self-driven and HUNGRY to work on improving yourself. Its easy to be lazy or get down on myself if I'm not careful. I take days off whenever I want, and go on vacations, but sometimes if I take off too much time, I find myself getting frustrated with myself for not being at work making more money.
