Even after the problematic employee was eventually let go, leadership chose not to acknowledge those who had stepped up—they opened the replacement role publicly rather than recognizing and promoting from within. Instead of encouraging internal growth, they moved forward with decisions that sent a clear message: effort and loyalty didn’t matter. This led to a very disheartening experience for those directly affected.
