      Pros

      Stable work, if there is one industry Centene is placed well in is its Managed Care Medicaid. Centene does attempt to follow the trends and current norms of the industry.

      Cons

      You would likely have some growth in ways you might not feel able to shirk doing if that is what they need you to be.

      Pros

      There are plenty of opportunities to to move around the company and working remote has been a blessing. The company still offers good benefits compared to other places I have worked.

      Cons

      When the new CEO Sarah London took over, things started to decline for the employees. From losing our quarterly bonuses to the last round of layoffs that happened in early October 2023.

      Pros

      This is an excellent company for diversity, and overall compensation and perks are truly second to none. Most of senior leadership truly seems to believe in the mission, want to treat people well, and want to do things "the right way."

      Cons

      We are so beholden to shareholders that taking the time to improve our processes and instill discipline to do things "the right way" turns out to be a bridge too far for the very same leadership that wants improved outcomes (which can only be achieved by learning how to / getting good at doing things "the right way").
