Best Company for Overall Balance of Work/Personal Life

Pros

This is the best company I've worked for in balancing work/personal life. They compensate well, provide a great benefits package and encourage using your PTO each year. PTO is not accrued except in states where it is required by law. However, sick time does accrue up to a cap. Professional growth and advancement is encouraged. Diversity/Inclusion is well supported in the company culture. This company is solid and positioning themselves well by focusing on delivering great care to their members. I highly recommend Centene as a place where your work makes a big difference in improving the health of our members.

Great, as long as not in certain positions

Pros

Pay was good Entry level positions in the company were great experience boosters

Cons

I had been working for centene on the help desk for almost 3 years and accepted a position that honestly was very poorly managed. Very little support, next to no training, and expectations that seem to contradict the previous expectations set upon accepting the position. I would be very wary of what you might get into job wise here if going to something that's not entry level like help desk.
