Pros

The team at CSD is great to work with. Everyone is friendly and open to feedback. The pay rate is great and highly competitive compared to other similar companies.

Cons

Oakland scheduler needs to get on top of her work. That department is not doing well for this company. Doesn't respond back within 24 hours and takes a while giving BS clients to work with. I would have stayed if I had at least 20 hours instead of 8.5.

Pros

• I've worked at a previous organization, but the individuals at employed at this company are all super fun, friendly, and amazing personalities that make the work environment incredibly fun to be around. • As with any other therapist/specialist job working with kids, clients are fun great to work with and have many rewarding days. • The company is always trying to improve on the quality of work. * Program Supervisors/Coordinators are so open-minded, compassionate, and dedicated to the work they do. They are always open to talk if you have any concerns, even if they may be super busy. • Access to materials in the office to make copies and create materials for clients. • Great starting pay and "promise" of moving up in the company • If you're the type who loves to stay busy, then this is the job for you. Although my position is part-time, I have full-time hours and often work on my own time. (pro and con?)

Cons

• At first impression and even currently, the checking in and out of Toys system is greatly flawed. When I was new hire, one of my biggest stressors and struggles was being unsure of what toys to bring to a new client's home and the lack of options in toys is a concern. • Cancellations means we don't get paid at all. Although understandable, I wish there was a little more compensation option for specialists who get cancelled on and not getting paid for the day. • Scheduling can be frustrating to work with. Even though many policies have been displayed in terms of organizing messages sent to scheduling, it takes days and weeks for changes to be made, and messages to the specialists regarding these can be annoying and frustrating because there is nothing we can do about it. •Driving all day every day...enough said
