The company is driven by Medicare revenue, so government cut backs trickle down to employees at times. Due to recent Medicare cut backs, raises were put on hold for 2 years. However, the company has done so well they reinstated annual raises.

Vacation/sick time comes out of the same bank, this was not explained well when I was hired. I was told I would have X amount of days for paid time off, I was not told that number of days was for sick time and vacation time combined.
