I nicknamed the company "the fascists".

Pros

Not much. Even though it's a union environment, don't expect the union rep to do much. Grievances take months to be settled. That's if the rep even tries. I get the feeling there's a lot of under the table deals at this place.

Cons

Be prepared to work your tail off. As an order picker, you will handle 40,000# daily. Sometimes much more. I'm talking about palletizing all product by hand. Everything at this outfit is done for the company. If they don't like you, you will be most strenuous jobs. About 15% of the people I started with were injured on the job due to how physical it is, and, how poor the equipment is. One employee broke his ankle when an electric pallet jack (tugger) did not stop. He was sent to the company doctor who told him he could go back to work the next day.
