The students are fairly good, pay is decent, also, have input into textbook selection, etc. Steady, year-round income if desired.

Cons

Because of Obamacare, faculty classes for part-timers have been cut. Also, being off-campus can include some disconnect with campus, since you are essentially emailing everyone and never meeting your fellow faculty on campus.

Very fair, friendly university to work for.

Pros

The pay is very reasonable. The benefits are great! The hours are flexible and accomodating depending on the department you work in.

Cons

You will most likely have to join a union so be prepared for that. I have had no difficulty with mine and they have been fair with the university.
