      Pros

      You are an independent financial advisor/planner and there is no pressure to sell products to clients. You determine your own marketing plan, determine your own hours, client segmentation etc. The back office/resource center is very helpful and supportive.

      Cons

      You are completely independent and must find your own clients or buy a book of business. Until you earn enough revenue to hire an assistant, you are doing everything (paperwork, processing, plans, investments etc.) by yourself.

      Smart, well-liked executives. Great opportunity for advancement in many areas if you work for it. Good pay and incentives. Generous vacation and better than average benefits. Casual dress.

      Cons

      Company recovering from a few bumpy years and leadership turnover. Execs in several different locations. Some departments understaffed. Headquarters office could use a makeover.
