Pros
Some coworkers were great to work with and very collaborative. Innovative projects and free garage opener.
Cons
Senior leadership in IT lacks a clear vision. They often emphasize buzzwords like "innovation" and "automation," yet they dismiss ideas that don't originate from them. This limits the potential for diverse and effective solutions. Upper management fosters an environment where fitting in is essential. There's little tolerance for dissent or outside-the-box thinking. Employees are expected to align strictly with management's views, and any divergence is met with resistance. The company culture tends to reward those who conform rather than those who exhibit genuine talent and innovation. This can be frustrating for those who value meritocracy and open dialogue. During my tenure, I experienced a serious incident while traveling internationally, which was caused by a senior team member. When reported, senior management took no meaningful action, and the work environment deteriorated, ultimately leading to my departure.
