Wonderful culture, focused on "Care" and student success; colleagues are treated well; sense of direction is strong; growth of the organization is very exciting

Cons

A lot of silos established; difficult to learn new areas and to grow within; salaries are lower than many organizations

Pros

Diverse student population, faculty diverse too but becoming increasingly less. Many resources available to students. Less resources to faculty and staff. Tuition reimbursement. Free parking. Stores and restaurants nearby.

Cons

Tuition very high, no breaks in between sessions, limited weekend campus and library access. Salary less for faculty and staff working in Chicago compared to sister campuses in Illinois. Faculty and staff moral low.

Pros

Chamberlain Care is a philosophy which is lived in real and tangible ways with both colleagues and students. This is an amazing place to work. Even though they are a for profit organization, they re-invest heavily in things to help students succeed. For example, there is a Center for Academic Success (similar to a tutoring center) and this is staffed by all RNs with a minimum of a BSN and most have graduate degrees in nursing. All other tutoring centers I've seen at other organizations have non nurses doing this. There are structures and processes in place to help guide students where ever they are at with live challenges. Colleagues are amazing and we are here for the same reason around the same values and mission statement.

Cons

This is not really a con, but sometimes the students have a lot of challenges in life (for various reasons).
