Pros

The world needs more nurses, you help provide that. Managers don’t really micro manage Holidays off Nice PTO policy (and unlimited FTO for leaders)

Cons

Layoffs. Seems to happen often. CEO, flaunts his big fancy multi million dollar home, Rolex watch, Gucci suits on videos, and his net worth is public, but the second there is a dip, he is quick to lay off staff, managers, directors and above without notice and will threaten to do it again indirectly if your smart enough to read though his words. Laying off your SME’s/top Performers who are dedicated and have been with you for years will only put you further behind.

Job Uncertainty

Pros

The work-life balance is good; however, it is not as exceptional as it used to be with ongoing RIF. Our department is currently down five positions, so that means those of us who remain must cover additional workloads.

Cons

In the past we averaged about one RIF per year (if that). We just had our 2nd or 3rd RIF this calendar year. I say 2-3 RIF, as the one series was not widely reported to colleagues. The difficult part is people being laid off during the holidays. This shows zero Chamberlain Care and has put a great deal of stress on the remaining staff. I never thought about leaving Chamberlain, but there is so much uncertainty lately that I have started to look elsewhere. After the last RIF, which saw several of my work friends being let go, I had enough.
