Pros

They have amazing medical benifits

Cons

The Holbrook location cares very little about their clients. They also have a terrible habit of quiet firing people. They like to choose a person to be their victim of the month, then use their knowledge of psychology against you to quiet fire you.

Pros

There are different criteria's of the job which is nice, never board.

Cons

Serious micro management, non-professionalism, lack of empathy for both employees and patients. Main priority is making money off the patient not actually helping the patient. Doing what's best for the patient seems like the last priority.

Pros

* You work with alot of employees who truly care about the organization and the clients * Chill work environment * Autonomy in the work that I did

Cons

* The biggest con has to be the morale problems caused by ineffective management, specifically from COO and Chief Quality Officer. Particularly from the COO, the behavior from her is like a nightmare office television show. You just cannot believe the approach the person would take. She was also very unprofessional. I liked the CEO, but he was the "nice guy" type of persona and let his COO do all the dirty work. Good cop, bad cop scheme. * High turnover. This is due to the low pay and lack of incentives. I get it's a nonprofit, but still. They need to learn how to retain good employees: what do they want in a job/career? They need to understand what makes a quality employee and d what they can to keep them and help them grow. * Clients. I don't necessarily mean the clients themselves, but the way they would have a hotline number to the COO or Chief Quality Officer whenever they had a "complaint" about something. You need to teach the clients life lessons such as there are proper protocols to follow because out in the real world, they will burn their bridges by going over people's heads and stuff. And those types of clients can't afford to burn any more bridges in their life. But they enable the clients to do call them. The COO and Chief Quality Officer would then come to the clinic and tell everyone that people are complaining, but would be totally vague about it. She would blame us, without bothering to ask us our point-of-view. Really? I mean these clients have serious mental illnesses, and you are just going to take what they say at face value? Really? C'mon. * An overemphasis on providing services for billing purposes. Some of my co-workers seemed to have a worse experience than me on this, but I could see why it was a problem. The emphasis was more on providing QUANTITY of service so that we could bill for it, not on the QUALITY of that service. For example, in general, doesn't someone with a college degree (unrelated to the field) usually provide higher quality service than someone with just a high school diploma? If so, then why pay them the same amount? Makes no sense. I've seen where the one with the college degree was very professional, thorough, and insightful in a way that others on his pay grade were not, but they were paid the same. Wanna guess? Minimum wage. * Administration is very retaliatory. COO especially will retaliate. It doesn't matter if what you say is factual or the merits of it. If she doesn't like it, or like you, watch out! Also, watch out for their emails. She and Quality Management Officer will send you these nasty emails and they will have some words in REALLY BIG BOLD LETTERS, UNDERLINED, EXCLAMATION POINTS. Yeah, really. I'm not kidding. Very weird. I never personally got any of these types of emails, but my coworkers have. When they told me, I wasn't surprised by it at all. It just fits the culture.
