Pros

Associate Bankers are actually paid a fair wage relative to other teller/banker roles. There are opportunities to transfer into many different roles if you want to consider a career in banking. The company offers good benefits and many employees stick around because of those benefits. Slight incremental boosts to hourly wages to compensate for inflation (although not significant).

Cons

Chase was entirely too stringent regarding overtime pay, even for part-time employees. Branches often have customers past 5PM, but we weren't able to adjust our times appropriately because Chase doesn't pay most of their employees overtime. It's not uncommon to apply for a role at a particular location online, then the company will change it to a location after the hiring process. Your overall experience for the company may change vastly if you find yourself at a branch that you didn't anticipate working for (it's possible that you won't be able to switch to your desired branch). Despite weeks long worth of training, there were many important job functions that won't be communicated, and you'll have to become accustomed to using guides and making mistakes because of this lack of communication.
