Pros

There are some good people working there - not management 4 weeks vacation very good if you get it approved by management

Cons

Market Manager and District Manager are only interested in numbers... want you to treat people as robots or idiots. They have to "Work the lobby" and treat the customers as sales opportunity. MM and DMs do not want you to build a relationship with customers - all they want is to get to the next customer

Pros

The pay is alright and they do give you the days you want off most of the time. Thats about it.

Cons

The put every banker on the same level with the same goals no matter where you are located. My branch get a few people a day and I dont meet my numbers so I will probably get fired soon.

Pros

This is a great sales position. For a young sales person this is a very good opportunity to learn sales and refine your skills. The base salary is respectable and the commission opportunity is good. There are few places where a smart, non-college grad can earn this income and have a stable base salary. The relationship management and sales software systems are excellent tools and make sales easier if properly utilized! Success can be had in any branch but it is 'easier' to succeed in a more affluent area.

Cons

There has been an unhealthy emphasis on ‘checking accounts’ lately. This is slowly hurting many banks. Customers are getting hurt by having multiple accounts opened and branches are being hurt because these accounts don’t actually produce much revenue. This is creating a bad environment that is leading to unethical behavior by bankers and branch managers.
