Pros

Great name. Solid institution. Great training program.

Cons

Sales is all that matters, no matter how you get them. Easy for the dishonest to shine. Does not invest in its employees, tuition not approved for personal bankers. As Personal Banker you work with partners for investments, mortgages and business banking. The Financial Advisor and the Business banker may not want to help you succeed in your role and still get paid for the sales you do. If you want to make money, they will reap the benefits and not help you at all.

Pros

One of the best banks in the financial services industry. Great benefits package & fair salary compared to other banks. Management is fair about time off for family issues. Great senior management & Jamie Dimon is probably the best financial services CEO currently working.

Cons

Not very flexible as far as work life balance just like other retail banks, very rigid in schedueling & vacation time off. working for JPMorgan Chase in Cleveland leaves you a little out of the know compared to other parts of the country with a bigger presence & footprint. Have to work much harder to qualify for national recognition trips.

Pros

The pay in the form of salary plus bonus plus benefits was far higher than you would receive for the same job at a competitor. The resources, product development, cutting edge technology made it a pleasure to work there. Jamie Dimon inspired confidence and pride.

Cons

Middle Management, in a very competitive, stressfull enviornment, encouraged behaviors that were unethical. Sales was not balanced with service. Turnover was off the charts and made it very difficult to deliver the promises that were made to customers when they were being wooed.
