Pros

+Hires right out of school/agency +Will teach you how to work under stress +Free certification +Get a good look at how the IT world works +/-Call centre environment, but no scripts or anything of the sort. You're free to do and say as you please on the calls. No protocol to follow.

Cons

-24/7 environment (So overnight and early morning shifts you might be stuck with for months/years) -One of the lowest salaries in the field -Everything is based on your stats, unless it's something positive in which case they ignore it -Very stressful; will work through your breaks, lunch and will likely need to work overtime every day -Matters more who you are friends with than your performance -Seriously high turnover rate due to stressful working conditions -Very high learning curve; will take you 6 months before you feel somewhat comfortable on calls.

Pros

You will learn things and create amazing connections between people at this company. You will be able to work as a team and have a close relationship with your colleagues. The growing potential within the company is immense and the rewards exist provided you stick around. Management will push you and keep your best interests in mind, it is never a numbers war and when it comes to job security, people will stick up for you. Paid lunches and amazing company paid outings.

Cons

The work load is high and you will have to deal with an abundance of stress and pressure. The training process is long and you will still come out of your first training scared to death of the customer (for only 2 weeks or so). The difficulty of moving up from some positions vary and sometimes you will get drowned out if you don't speak up many times. Certification tests are difficult and have some outdated information.
