People don't matter. Business survival is paramount.

Pros

Good benefits. 401K match and health insurance programs are competitive. There are flexible work schedules when in a business position. Ability to work from home.

Cons

Leadership has repeatedly shown that they only care about the survival of the new company. They don't think about how their decisions impact their employees. For example, Wilmington employees are asked to suck it up and accept many negative changes over the past year: 1. No bonus for Chemicals employees in 2014, 2. Delayed raise in 2015, 3. Move of HQ to DuPont building (increased commute), 4. Pay cut due to Wilmington city tax, 5. Pay cut due to parking or bus fare, 6. Unhealthy work environment from widespread layoffs ( you're always waiting for the other shoe to drop), 7. More work to do with significantly less people to do it, 8. No clarity on where the permanent HQ will be located. There is no work-life balance: everyone is working around the clock, hoping it will save their job. Since the spin, any personal development or advancement has come to a screeching halt. The feeling around the HQ is that you should just be thankful that you have a job. That is not a respectful or effective way to retain talent.

Pros

Good pay and benefits. The work schedule gives time off and vacation time is good. Leadership for the spin-off from DuPont kept us informed.

Cons

Due to the spin-off from DuPont, many people that have been here for a long time are leaving. Feeling that they are lost in the spin. Cost cutting needs to be made, that is understandable, but we also need good people retained.

Pros

Lots of interesting work. Free will to choose what you want to work on in the beginning.

Cons

Lay off people to try to lower budget, which creates less people to perform the job effectively. This basically digs a nearly inescapable hole.
